Huntsman Develops New Copolymer PP

Huntsman uses a new generation of Z-N catalysts and Mitsui's Hypol process to develop new high-flow copolymer PP. This material has high crystallinity, excellent impact strength and rigidity balance, and a wide temperature processing range. The PP MFR of its grade AP5995HS is 100 g/(10 min). It is a medium-impact PP for high-speed injection molding. Its Izod notched impact strength is 42.7 J/m, and its flexural modulus is 1584.7 MPa. It can be used for high-speed injection molding to produce thin walls. Daily necessities and cooked food containers can produce 192 to 384 containers per minute. The PP MFR of the Huntsman grade AP5165 is 65 g/(10 min) and is a successful impact copolymer for interior automotive applications. The Izod notched impact strength is 69 J/m and the flexural modulus is 1205.8 MPa. ExxonMobil's medium impact PP resin 7675K, MFR 40g / (10min), is mainly used as the base resin for automotive modified particles of PP.
