2. Rotate the image before scanning

9. Combine images to get better detail performance
What if the tone range of the image we want to scan is larger than the range that our scanner or software can adapt to, such as sky clouds or skin tones with a lot of highlight details, and deep and dark tone levels should be expressed at the same time?
The best way is to scan the image twice with the same scanning resolution. But one image is adjusted to the largest bright tone detail, and the other image is adjusted to the largest dark tone detail. Open the image in Photoshop, and open the layer selection dialog of the layer template, and place the two images in the adjacent layer. This dialog box gives us the option to mix the images scanned each time (press Option to separate the slider to make the midtone transition smoother.).
If you are using Live Picture software, insert the image into the adjacent layer and use the Insert brush to draw more details from one layer to another. This can be done in Photoshop using brushes and feathering options. Live Picture software's resolution-independent brushes can provide fast and natural mixed image effects even at very high resolutions.
10. Match the size of the newly created image with an open image
When we create a new image in Photoshop, the program automatically matches the resolution and size set on the clipboard, but we can also match the size and resolution settings of the newly generated image to any open image.
