The newly released IPEmotion 2018 version of the software adds or improves three very practical functions in data storage, data management, and data transmission, helping engineers become more handy in the process of data collection, data storage, and data management.
1. Custom data file prefix
IPEmotion modified the naming method of file names that many engineers complained about, and you can add meaningful storage group prefixes.
The storage group prefix setting can directly call the start time, stop time, experiment name, user, equipment serial number, custom text and other content of the test to form a file name, instead of the original naming method of distinguishing test data according to the number size . This function solves the problem that the data file name has no logo, which makes it difficult to find and distinguish data. And the combination of settings is very convenient, similar to the operation method of making calculation formulas.
2. Database indexing service (limited to professional version, development version, analysis version)
When importing a data file, you can select the search function and enter a keyword. The software will find the data file containing the keyword under the specified path. The keyword can be related to the file name or the channel name. The indexing service can also set the time period for data file generation to narrow the search range. This function is convenient for searching and processing a large number of data files, saving time.
3. Act as a gateway to send the collected data to third-party applications
This function can complete third-party data synchronization, and can also collect data that cannot be collected by third parties and adopt special protocols for unified analysis. The data is first collected by IPEmotion, and then several or all of the signals are selected and sent to the third-party application through XCP SLAVE. The third-party application can then use the description file provided by IPEmotion to visually observe the synchronized data values.
