The Shijia Primary School Media Center is designed to support a wide range of educational and communication activities. Its main focus includes live lectures, interactive teaching programs, and broadcasts, while also incorporating interviews with students and staff—these can be used for news segments or special features. The center also supports recording and broadcasting functions, with video content being an essential complement. Most of the displayed content is desktop-based, and the host’s screen is rarely shown during broadcasts. Users can utilize platforms like PowerPoint, folders, or even web browsers to open videos, images, Word documents, and more. Additionally, tools such as Weibo, NBC, and online parent meetings can be accessed through web-based interfaces, making the system highly flexible.
The Media Center is equipped with several dedicated areas: a news interview zone, an electronic backdrop area, a large-screen mosaic display section, a broadcast-only space, and a recording room. A separate control room is also provided for background editing and signal management. As a full HD campus TV station, it transmits high-definition digital video signals, including embedded audio. The front-end video sources output SDI or HDMI signals, with HDMI converted to SDI via a video format converter. These signals are then routed through an HD-SDI matrix, converted back to HDMI, and sent to the studio LED screen and G500 via a Super Six network cable. The system is integrated with the school’s high-definition transmission and information distribution systems, using Gigabit switches to process data and deliver high-quality video to classrooms across the campus.
This project enables centralized control of high-definition signals throughout the school, including in conference rooms, auditoriums, and studios. It supports program recording, remote camera switching, and post-production editing, ensuring seamless operations.
One of the key features of the Shijia Media Center is its integration with multiple systems, such as public broadcasting, television, surveillance, and information distribution. This integration prevents system isolation, enhances overall efficiency, and simplifies equipment management for the school. Additionally, students and teachers can operate, control, and broadcast independently. The system is designed with user-friendliness in mind, featuring an intuitive interface that allows hosts, teachers, and students to manage broadcasts efficiently. By streamlining operations and reducing the need for constant supervision, the system increases broadcast frequency while maintaining high productivity with minimal personnel involvement.
