Does blanket thickness affect print quality?

Beijing uses a printing plant in 5000 Nova blanket, bright purple B-B-type printing press. The rollers of the Ziming B-B printing machine are divided into two sizes: the blankets are covered with two blankets A and B, and the small rollers are covered with one blanket C. The New Star 5000 blanket is used very well on one B-B press, but it is not good on the other, the print is blurred, and it is returned. We measured the thickness of the three blankets that were returned, and found that the thickness of the A and B blankets was 0.04 mm, and the thickness of the A and C blankets was close, and the blanket itself had no problem. Therefore, we believe that the problem is that before the machine is put on, the thickness of the blanket is not measured, resulting in the blanket thickness and the thickness of the liner not matching, resulting in blurring of the print. When the B on the original large drum is changed to the small roller, and A and C are wrapped on the large roller, the problem does not exist.

Experience: Before using a blanket, the thickness should be measured so that unqualified blankets with large thickness tolerances can be found in time. In addition, the thickness of the four blankets of the four-color machine should be the same. Some printer captains never measure the thickness of the blanket and use it. There are often "low-level errors".

For blanket manufacturers, do not think that the thickness tolerance of the blanket is within the range, the thickness tolerance is ±0.02mm, and the accuracy of the unevenness is only 0.02mm. The best way is to have the sales department master the thickness of the blanket used by the old customers and sort the shipments to reduce such problems. For example, for a blanket having a thickness of 1.97 mm, the thickness of the finished product is 1.95 to 1.99 mm, which can be classified into three categories according to 1.95 to 1.97 mm, 1.97 to 1.99 mm, and 1.96 to 1.98 mm, respectively. Different printing companies need to avoid the problem that "the thickness of the blanket is qualified, but the printing company says it is not easy to use".
