The new standard has detailed provisions in many aspects. For example, in the material specification GB/T 16799 furniture leather, the free formaldehyde limit value is 75mg/kg, and the free formaldehyde limit value of children's furniture is obviously stricter than the requirements of ordinary furniture. The standard value is consistent with the standard requirements of British FIRA/FRQG C001. . Finally, on the warning signs for children's furniture, the new standard requires warnings on specific items to avoid unnecessary harm to children. For example, for furniture with folding or adjusting devices, the warning “Warning! Be careful†should be indicated in the appropriate position of the product.
The new standard plays a technical role in supporting the quality supervision in the field of furniture production and circulation, and has a professional normative effect on the processing and production of children's furniture manufacturers.
