The report showed that the formaldehyde emission rate of 35 sampling samples was 97.14%. However, the report also pointed out that due to the many environmental standards for flooring and boards, some products still have the phenomenon of “not low or highâ€. Relevant experts believe that when consumers actually purchase, they should also look for products that have a test report.
More than 90% of the samples meet the requirements
It is understood that the comparison test has tested a total of 35 samples, including 28 floor samples (15 laminate flooring and 13 wood laminate flooring) and 7 sheet samples. The test results showed that the formaldehyde emission rate of 35 samples was 97.14%. Hu Huijun, deputy secretary-general of the China Wood and Wood Products Circulation Association, believes that because the samples taken are the mainstream brands in the market, it is credible to draw such results.
Among them, 14 samples of 15 laminate flooring samples were in line with national standards, and 13 wood laminate samples and 7 panel samples were all qualified. For the 12 samples with higher environmental protection grades, the test also tested the total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) according to the “Technical Requirements for Environmental Labeling Products and Wood-based Panels and Their Products†(HJ571-2010). It was found that the measured values ​​of TVOC were all qualified when the value of formaldehyde emission was low.
More standards cause "it is not high"
At the same time, the report also shows that since the national standard only stipulates the limits of E1 and E2, if there are E0 grades with higher environmental requirements for flooring and panels, only 15 samples of 15 laminate flooring samples are reached. In addition, about 1/3 of the 15 samples of laminate flooring are not marked with environmental protection grades on the outer packaging of the product, and some are replaced by “qualified productsâ€.
In addition, the report indicates that there are currently many standards for board and floor inspection, and the ratings are different. Many standards have caused some unscrupulous enterprises to “below low or high†during production, but “high or low†when propagating.
Hu Huijun, deputy secretary-general of the China Wood and Wood Products Circulation Association, believes that the market monitoring of the flooring industry is relatively mature and there are many standards available, and these standards are either different for products or suitable for different occasions. It is more difficult to get up. The "Classification Standard for Grades of Wood Flooring Enterprises" currently being developed by the Association will classify enterprises according to the scale of the enterprise, providing a simpler reference for consumers to purchase flooring.
