When you turn on the vacuum pump but find that the vacuum is not being achieved, it's important to check several key areas. First, ensure that the bottle’s opening is properly sealed. Then, inspect the vacuum pump itself for any leaks. Also, verify that the sealing ring around the shaft is intact. Adding an external vacuum switch can help improve the recovery rate and evaporation speed.
Using the system’s vacuum pressure, liquid material can be drawn into the rotating flask via a hose. Make sure the liquid does not exceed half the capacity of the flask. The system allows for continuous feeding, so always pay attention during this process:
1. Turn off the vacuum pump.
2. Stop the heating function.
3. After evaporation stops, slowly open the valve to prevent backflow.
The instrument features a specially designed water bath that must be filled with water before use. The temperature control range is 0–99°C, but due to thermal inertia, the actual water temperature may be about 2°C higher than the set value. Adjustments can be made accordingly. For example, if you need a water temperature of 1/3–1/2, simply disconnect the power plug after use.
Turn on the electrical box switch and adjust the knob to achieve the optimal evaporation speed. Be careful to avoid fluctuations in the water bath and ensure the cooling water is running.
First, open the feed switch to release pressure, then turn off the vacuum pump and remove the solvent from the collection flask.
Before installation, apply a layer of vacuum grease to the sealing ring and joints. Always make sure the heating tank is filled with water before energizing—never operate it dry. For models like RE-201D, ensure the fuse is properly inserted to avoid damaging the flask.
If the vacuum cannot be reached, check the following:
1. Are the connections properly sealed?
2. Is the sealing ring effective?
3. Is there vacuum grease between the main shaft and the seal?
4. Are the vacuum pump and its tubing leaking?
5. Are any glass components cracked or damaged?
Before using the instrument, carefully inspect all parts. Check for any damage to the glass bottle and ensure all interfaces are compatible. Handle the equipment gently.
Wipe each connection with a soft cloth and apply a small amount of vacuum grease. After use, cover the grease to prevent dust or sand from entering.
Avoid tightening the connectors too much; keep them slightly loose to prevent long-term damage. Always start the machine by turning on the power first, then gradually increase the speed. When stopping, turn off the machine and the power switch.
Do not over-tighten PTFE switches, as this can damage the glass components. After each use, wipe down the machine with a soft cloth to remove oil, stains, or solvents, keeping it clean and well-maintained.
After stopping the machine, loosen the PTFE switches to prevent deformation of the piston. Regularly clean the sealing rings by removing them, wiping the shaft with a soft cloth, applying a bit of vacuum grease, and reinserting the ring to maintain smooth operation.
Never allow water to enter the electrical components. Avoid getting them wet at all times.
Only use original, authentic accessories. Using third-party parts may cause serious damage to the equipment.
When performing any maintenance or inspection, always disconnect the power and water supply. This device is delicate, so handle it with care. Any damage caused by improper handling will not be covered under warranty.
