Using Tetra Pak to Make New Wood-plastic Materials

Shanghai Caile Environmental Protection Products Co., Ltd., as the earliest local company to recycle and use Tetra Pak, has a daily maximum capacity of 10 tons of discarded Tetra Pak. The new wood-plastic materials produced from turning waste into treasure can reach 300 tons per month. Tetra Pak is one of the aseptic packaging of milk and is generally made of paper, plastic, and aluminum foil. According to statistics, there are more than 8,000 tons of Tetra Pak used in Shanghai each year, which was previously mainly disposed of by landfills and incineration, causing some pollution to the environment. Cai Le company invented a new treatment process, the waste packaging directly crushed, extruded into a new wood-plastic material. The new material can be widely used in furniture, outdoor anti-theft trash cans, gardening facilities and so on. Cai Le registered a national patent for this purpose and became the only company in the world to use such a process to dispose of used milk cartons.
