Development and Discussion of Screen Printing Water-based Ink(I)

Abstract The development of screen printing in China is very fast. However, the development and development of screen printing aqueous inks have been slow. In order to promote the use of screen printing inks, introduced the characteristics of the ink and the development of paper and plastic printing, and provided the formula and process flow, at the same time a brief analysis of the development of screen printing water ink market prospects.

I. Introduction

In recent years, with the development of industrial technology, various new materials have appeared and screen printing has developed rapidly. The development of the national economy has enabled screen printing technology not only to be widely used in paper and plastics, but also for textile, electronics, metals, glass, ceramics and other industrial sectors. As people's awareness of environmental protection has increased, people's influence on changes in the ecological environment has become increasingly important in daily consumer activities. In screen printing, ink always occupies an important position and is the key to determining the quality of screen printing products. Most of the screen printing inks used today are solvent-based inks. Specifically, these inks contain 50 to 60% of the volatile organic solvent components, and if necessary, the diluents needed to prepare the viscosity of the ink are also included. If the print is dry, the total content of volatile components emitted by the ink will reach 70% to 80%. The gases volatilized by these organic solvents not only have odors, but are also partially toxic and harmful to human health. Screen printing industry can only solve the problem of environmental protection by relying on changing the ink system. Countries that have used water-based screen printing inks in large quantities are Sweden, Germany and the United States. The speed of screen printing in our country has developed rapidly. However, the progress in the development and general application of screen-printed water-based inks has been slow. We have made some efforts in this area and we have developed on the basis of flexographic and gravure printing water-based inks. The use of screen-printed water-based inks on substrates such as paper and plastics has been promoted for use in other areas.

Second, the experiment

1. The main raw materials are acrylic vinegar resin, chlorinated polypropylene dispersion, pigment, titanium dioxide, ethylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol and additives.

2. Paper screen printing water ink formula acrylic composite resin 38%
Water 40%
Pigment 5%
Ammonia 6%
Ethylene glycol 2%
Isopropanol 7%
Additives 1% to 3%

3. Plastic screen printing water ink formula acrylic composite resin 45%
Chlorinated polypropylene dispersion 10%
Titanium dioxide 30%
Water 10%
Additives 3% to 5%

4. Preparation of ink process 1) resin composite, amination (standby);
2) Grinding paste: pigments, resins, solvents (water), stirring and dispersing (standby);
3) Modulation ink: After compounding resin, spare color paste, auxiliaries, water, etc. Stir evenly, inspect and pack.

5. Ink Product Test Results The ink product test results are shown in Table 1.
