Yesterday marked the fifth and final day of the IOC assessment team's visit to Beijing's joint bid with Zhangjiakou for the 2022 Winter Olympics. The Beijing Winter Olympic Committee concluded the presentation meeting with a closing ceremony and held a press conference with the assessment team in the afternoon. This signified the end of the evaluation mission in China. According to the official Beijing Winter Olympic website, during the closing ceremony, 20 primary school students performed a song titled "Wish," dedicated to Shen Dongao, expressing his personal aspirations. The Beijing Winter Olympic Committee presented the musical score of the song to the IOC assessment team as a meaningful gift. Over the course of the five-day visit, the assessment team attended 14 presentation sessions and toured both competition and non-competition venues in Beijing, Yanqing, and Zhangjiakou. They asked more than 150 questions, which were thoroughly addressed by the Beijing team. Following the site visits, the IOC will compile its evaluation report based on the bid application submitted by the city. The report is expected to be released on the official IOC website in early June. In the afternoon, the assessment team and the Beijing Winter Olympic Committee held a press conference. The chairman of the assessment team, Zhukov, summarized the findings of the inspection. He stated, "I cannot predict the outcome of the voting in July, but I want to emphasize that the Olympic spirit demonstrated by the 2008 Beijing Olympics still lives on. This spirit will continue to be passed down. Our assessment confirmed that Beijing has the capability to successfully host the 2022 Winter Olympics."
