The swimming current detector is the only instrument to monitor the coagulation effect of the process online. It can measure and control the current generated by the charged ions or particles between the two electrodes in the sampling chamber in the chemically treated water (or wastewater) sample. The magnitude of this current depends on the net balance of positive (or negative) ions remaining in the water after coagulation, so the value of the flowing current can be seen to reflect the coagulation effect.
The electrode is embedded in the plastic shell, and the motor drives the piston to make a reciprocating motion in the shell, driving the ions in the water to the electrode, thereby forming a swimming current signal.
