Inner Mongolia developed waste aluminum foil recycling technology

The "dry one-step" scrap aluminum paper separation and recovery technology equipment developed by the Baotou Institute of Chemical Industry in Inner Mongolia passed the appraisal of relevant departments and obtained the patent right officially granted by the State Patent Office.

Aluminum foil composite paper is widely used in the packaging of tobacco, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and other industries. The amount of aluminum foil composite paper is increasing rapidly year by year, and the waste of its corners also increases. According to preliminary investigations, the corner waste scraped by the cigarette factory packaging cannot be used for aluminum smelting or papermaking because aluminum and paper are glued together. They are discarded and burned, polluting the environment and wasting resources. According to reports, with this technical equipment, 300 kg of aluminum and 600 kg of high-quality dry pulp can be recovered per ton of waste aluminum foil. After inspection, aluminum up to the national standard, pulp can make high-grade paper towels.
