After several major revisions, China's steel drum national standards have made great progress, and the diameter series of steel drums has also moved closer to the national standard. However, to be realistic, our national standards can't keep up with the trend and level of the world, and even the international level at that time can't keep up. why? Summarized in one sentence: the mind is not liberated! The old-fashioned thinking of maintaining the status quo occupies the brain of the standard revisioner, thus causing the chaos of the current domestic steel barrel industry products.
Since the reform and opening up, especially after joining the WTO in recent years, the international economic exchanges have become more and more frequent, and the steel drums as the packaging of products have more and more out of the country with the products. However, due to the inherent shortage of the standard steel drum structure in China, it can not meet the requirements of international packaging and transportation, which has caused exporters and steel drum manufacturing enterprises to fall into a dilemma. The contradiction of product structure is mainly manifested in two aspects:
On the one hand, the diameter of the barrel of the national standard 200 liter steel drum meets the ISO diameter standard (φ560mm), but it ignores the actual outer diameter of the steel drum because the diameter of the two large ring ribs on the steel drum is much larger than The diameter of the barrel body (φ588mm), so when the steel drum is loaded into the container, the actual occupied space diameter is φ588mm instead of φ560mm, which cannot be said to be the negligence of the standard revision. As a result, when the steel drum enters the container, it can be placed in four rows, but since the diameter is larger, it can only be placed in three rows, which wastes a lot of container space, and the exporter is absolutely not allowed.
On the other hand, it is a problem of residual residue in the steel drum of the national standard. Since the flat roof structure of the top of the steel drum has not changed for decades, when the steel drum dumps the contents liquid outward, there will always be some that cannot be seen. This situation not only wastes the contents, but also brings trouble to the recycling and reuse of the steel drum, and is also not conducive to environmental protection. As early as the revision of the new national standards, the international standards for ISO steel drums have been formulated, and this problem has been solved, but the new national standards are hard to turn a blind eye and ignore them, resulting in a situation where the standards are seriously backward.
Due to the existence of problems above the national standards, today's foreign economic activities are becoming more and more frequent, and it is increasingly out of date. In order to meet the needs of users, many domestic barrel manufacturers have made new plans for the survival of enterprises, and made steel drums according to the requirements of users. As a result, international standards of steel drums began to settle in China, becoming the new darling of exporters, which is an inevitable development process. At present, the popularity of European standard barrels in China is the biggest impact on China's national standards, and it also shows the serious backwardness of the national standards of steel drums. However, this situation is only a transitional stage. The final development direction should be ISO international standard steel drums. Whether you are willing or not, you must definitely follow this path. This is a development trend that no one can stop. Because we live in the world, China can no longer be closed like a few decades ago. Since it is open, our product standards should not be "self-reliant," not to mention our standards are still very backward.
At present, the international steel drum standards adopted in China, in addition to the widespread popularity of cone barrels, ISO container barrels have begun to be widely used and have been widely welcomed by exporters.
The ISO container steel drum was introduced by Europe. It was first promoted by GMI in Italy. Due to its structural type, the problem of unreasonable space occupation in the national standard steel drum was improved, so it was affirmed by most users. It has been widely used in coastal areas of China and East China.
The special steel drum for container is based on the size of the international standard steel drum, and the product structure of the steel ring is scientifically modified. Its main feature is that the ring ribs on the barrel are completely trapped in the barrel, that is, in the case where the height of the ribs of the barrel body is not reduced, an annular groove that is recessed inward is formed at a portion where the ring rib is connected with the barrel body. The maximum diameter of the top of the ring rib is 5mm smaller than the original standard. The outer diameter of the ring of the original national standard steel drum is φ585mm, and the outer diameter of the ring of the container steel drum is φ575mm. Therefore, the maximum diameter of the steel drum is 10mm smaller than that of the national standard steel drum. Do not underestimate the 10mm. In the container transportation, the steel drum can maximize the space and achieve the most economical transportation cost.
Since the shape of the ring rib is like "W", it is often called the W-shaped ring barrel in the domestic barrel industry. The ring rib not only reduces the maximum diameter of the steel drum, but also enhances the strength of the barrel and makes the shape of the barrel more beautiful. In foreign countries, most container steel drums eliminate the ripples on the barrel and make the barrel more beautiful.
In addition, the shortcomings of ordinary national standard steel drums in use are mainly that the diameter of the steel ring ribs is larger than the curling edges at both ends of the steel drum, so that when the steel drum is transported, handled, and used, the steel ring's ring ribs will become the weakest. The link is therefore often damaged by the paint film or caused by bump deformation. The use of the "W" rib structure not only increases the strength of the steel barrel body, but also the ring rib is no longer a weak link, protecting the overall beauty and anti-collision ability of the steel drum.
In addition, international standard diameter steel drums are beneficial for export and can be accepted by users all over the world. In foreign countries, the recycling and reuse of steel drums is very important. Developed countries have a highly automated old barrel refurbished production line. The old steel drums are refurbished and reused. The average steel drums are recycled and reused for 2~3 times. of. This requires that the specifications and dimensions of the steel drums are the same, otherwise it cannot be repaired on the fully automatic production line. This is one of the reasons why the national standard steel drums are not popular abroad.
ISO container steel drum structure:
ISO container steel drums are made up of European "W" steel drums of ISO international standard steel drums. That is, the basic size of the steel drum is ISO international standard steel drum, the main packaging diameter, barrel height and other dimensions. There is no ring structure of ISO international standard steel drums. At present, domestic steel drums adopt this structure, the main reasons are as follows:
1. ISO international standard steel drum (as shown in Figure 1), the standard bucket top can be flat top or arched structure. The arched structure is designed to reduce the residue of the contents, that is, the structure can be at the lowest position when the steel tub is tipped over to pour the liquid, so that the contents can be cleaned. In the current liquid handling at home and abroad, this method has not been used to dump liquid, but by suction, so the arch of the top of the bucket is not necessary. In recent years, most countries in the world have begun to adopt the top of the flat top structure, so the arched bucket top has not been promoted in China.
2. The “W” steel barrel originating from GMI of Italy was named “container steel drum” when it entered China, which mainly solved the problem of container space occupation of international standard steel drum. It has been widely accepted at home and abroad, and its main structure and dimensions are shown in Figure 2.
This new type of ISO container steel drum is a combination of international standards and "W" steel drums. It is a commonly used and popular structure in the world. The main dimensions are as follows:
