Kodak Launches "Digital Printing Machines That Exceed Offset"

Recently, after the new features of the NexPress series of digital presses were improved by Kodak, the color quality of the output could “beyond offset quality”. Kodak this week introduced the new NexPress SE2500, SE3000 and SE3600 as part of the pre-show products exhibited at the Chicago Print Show this year. At the same time, the company announced that its highly-regarded Stream inkjet technology will enter the market with the Kodak Prosper brand image.

Kodak currently uses Prosper S10 print heads at five test sites worldwide, and Lettershop is the first UK user product. The top NexPress SE3600 press will be put into production by the end of next month.

According to Greg Gresock, Kodak’s global product manager, “The new features include a new smart calibration system that takes less than five minutes and saves at least $10,000 to $15,000 (equivalent to £6,000 to £9,000), or 10% to 15% labor force".
