Manufacturing process of ring can lid (English-Chinese)

Pict1 1. Pre-coated aluminium or steel strip arrives at the can manufacturing plant in large coils or sheets.

Pre-coated aluminum or steel sheets are delivered to the can plant in the form of coils or sheets

Pict 2 2. The sheet is fed through a press which stamps out thousands of terms every minute.

Pict 3 3. At the same stage the edges are curled.

Pict 4 4. The newly formed ends are passed through a lining machine which applies a very precise bead of compound sealant around the inside of the curl.

The lid of the can is precisely added to the seal of a compound in the curl of each lid by a lining machine

Pict 5 5. A video inspection system checks the ends to ensure they are perfect.

Pict 6 6. The pull tabs are made from a narrow coil of aluminium or steel. The strip is first pierced and cut. Then the tab is formed in two further stages before being joined to the can end.

The pull ring is made of narrow aluminum or steel sheet. First punch and cut the sheet, then proceed to further processing

7. The ends pass through a series of dies which score them and attach tabs, which are fed in from a separate source.

The can lid is scored by a series of molds, the pull ring is further shaped, and the pull ring is then loaded onto the can lid

Pict 9 9. The finished ends, ready for capping the filled cans, are packaged in paper sleeves and palletised before despatch to the filling plant.

The finished product cans are packaged in paper tubes and transported to the filling plant for loading onto the filled cans
