The National Grating Manufacturing and Application Engineering Center begins to be established

A few days ago, the Ministry of Science and Technology approved the construction of the National Grating Manufacturing and Application Engineering Technology Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center) based on the Changchun Optics Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Grating as the core of spectroscopic instruments, its manufacturing and application level directly affect the development of China's spectroscopic instrument industry. It is reported that the center is the second national R & D institution established by Changchun Optical Machinery after the National Key Laboratory of Applied Optics. It is also the first independently established national engineering center in Jilin Province.

After the establishment of the center, it will choose two important directions of urgent needs of the national economy and national strategic needs to carry out engineering technology development. First, in order to fundamentally improve the backward development of China's spectroscopic instrument industry, under the guidance of the "innovation and industrialization" policy, undertake and complete the engineering of grating manufacturing and application technology, personnel training, scientific and technological consulting, the absorption and absorption of advanced foreign technology Responsibilities and tasks such as original innovation, to solve the bottleneck restricting the development of China's spectroscopic instrument industry, and to consolidate the foundation of China's spectral analysis technology to achieve leapfrogging progress; The research on the manufacturing technology of extreme scale gratings and related manufacturing systems provides conditions for the national scientific projects.

It is reported that the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Jilin Provincial Department of Science and Technology will allocate 5 million yuan each, and Changchun Institute of Optoelectronics will raise 30 million yuan to invest in the establishment of the center.
