U.S. launches strawberry-made packaging materials

Experts from the U.S. Department of Agriculture recently developed a new environmentally friendly food packaging material. This material is made entirely of crushed strawberries.
Tests have shown that packaging films made from this new material can not only maintain freshness, but also improve the taste of bananas, apples, and other fruits. Experts said that in the near future, not only strawberries, but also carrots, cauliflower and other vegetables can be made into packaging materials.
