The disc package machine can be roughly divided into the following mechanisms: ① main transmission mechanism; ② book clamping station mechanism; ③ milling back, milling slot mechanism; ④ glue application mechanism; ⑤ forming support mechanism.

1. Main transmission mechanism

The power of the motor is mainly transmitted to the main shaft through the pulley, and the disk is driven to rotate counterclockwise to drive the book block to complete the back milling, gluing, and cover. The efficiency of the machine can be adjusted by changing the position of the pulley. Because the load that the machine bears during the work is not uniform and there is a certain impact phenomenon, it is generally used after 6 to 7 years, often due to the wear of various parts, here there are wear of transmission gears, wear of bearings, and even Connecting the gear and the shaft, the flat key on the disk and the main shaft deforms and the accumulated gap makes the disk work unevenly. 2. Clamping mechanism of book block station

The main function of the mechanism is to adjust the pre-load pressure of the spring, so that when the book block is put into the station, it plays a role of positioning and clamping. If the pre-loaded spring is adjusted too tightly, it is easy to cause uneven milling back, and too loose and easy to move when the book block is milled back, which will cause the oblique back or the milled book back to be uneven and uneven grooves, affecting the penetration of hot melt adhesive in the subsequent process. In particular, to change the signature paper, there is a big difference, and it is necessary to adjust the spring pressure appropriately.

3. Milling back and slotting mechanism

The structure of the machine is mainly driven by a motor to rotate the milling disc at high speed. The milling disc is generally equipped with 4 back milling cutters and 2 slotting cutters. The back of the book is milled by the back milling cutter and the slotting knife, which requires milling through the back of the book, that is, the pages of the back of the book become single and flat, the slots are uniform, the depth is consistent, and the paper scraps are cleaned. Whether the agency works well or not has a great influence on the quality of book glue. To achieve good results, we must first pay attention to the sharpening of the knife and adjust the milling depth of the knife to provide a good foundation for the subsequent process of gluing. Today's milling cutters generally weld carbide grains to the handle. The geometric angle of the cutter head is not very strict, but the geometric angle of several cutters should be as consistent as possible. In order to prevent the cutter head from high vibration during high-speed milling due to uneven tool force, the triangular tip of the groove is the same. When adjusting the milling depth, the milling depth is generally not less than 2mm. For thicker books, the milling depth should be deeper. The inner pages of the signature can be milled into a single sheet. The depth of the slot on the back of the book is about 0.8 to 1 mm, and the slot distance is 2 to 5 mm. It should be noted here that the speed of the milling cutter is constant, the faster the machine is driven, the larger the slot spacing will be and will be affected. Secondly, the tip of the back milling cutter should be on the same plane when it is installed, as well as the groove cutter. Due to the length of use of the machine, the bearing of the motor is worn, the shaft and the milling cutter disk, etc., will produce some gaps or deformations. Care should be taken when adjusting the knife to avoid accidents caused by the book holder. If it is not stable, the relevant parts need to be replaced.

4. Glue mechanism

Although the gluing mechanism of the disc pack machine is simple, the intrinsic quality of the book wireless gluing depends largely on the mechanism. The mechanism is composed of glue pot, glue wheel, temperature controller, etc. The early machine glue pot is small and there is only one glue wheel. Because there is only one glue wheel, it is difficult to achieve uniform glue and ensure the thickness of the glue . It is recommended to change to double rubber wheels. Many manufacturers have made improvements due to the low cost. To ensure the quality of the glue, the key is to adjust the height of the glue wheel to ensure that the glue can penetrate the book slot and the back of the book has a certain thickness of the glue layer (0.5 ~ 1mm), generally the first glue wheel and the back of the book are 0.4 ~ 0.8mm, the distance between the second upper rubber wheel and the back of the book is adjusted between 1.2 and 2.2. If the adjustment distance is too small, the back of the book will be thickened, and the adhesive layer of the ambassador's book will be too thick, which will affect the quality of the upper cover. The same applies to the upper side. After several years of improvement, the quality of the current hot-melt adhesive has been guaranteed, as long as the temperature of the adhesive is controlled as required, its physical properties can be guaranteed. In order to ensure the temperature of the glue, it is better to set an additional preheated glue pot, so as not to affect the temperature and uneven melting due to the addition of rubber particles directly on the machine's glue pot during the production process.

V. Forming support mechanism

The normal working status of the institution plays a major role in the external quality of books. If the related parts are seriously worn, the positioning deviation and improper adjustment will make the back of the book bevel, round back, spine offset, thick side of the spine, etc., which seriously affects the quality of the book. We do not guard against the analysis of the structure and working principle. The book cover is sent out through the paper feeding nozzle. At the same time, the cover is sent out through the two pressure wheels. Two pairs of indentation wheels indent the cover. The positioning device is positioned on the bracket. The final bracket Rise and glue the book block that has been glued to complete the whole book binding process. It can be seen from this that the cover needs to be positioned accurately, and the two pressing wheels are required to send the cover in parallel. To make the cover indentation visible, the upper and lower gaps of the two pairs of indentation wheels should be adjusted appropriately according to the thickness of the cover paper. The wear is faster, and it should be replaced in time after wear. To ensure that the spine does not shift and there is no slope, the supporting and forming mechanism must be accurately positioned. Often the above quality problems and instability are caused by machine wear, increased clearance, and displacement of the glue position. If this kind of problem occurs, it needs to be readjusted and positioned with pins. If the parts are seriously worn, they must be replaced. The height of the mechanism support should be adjusted. If the height is too high, the back of the book will be pressed out, and the overflowing glue will stain the cover. If the cover is too low, the adhesion between the cover and the back of the book will not be good and it will cause round back and empty. As long as we pay attention to observation, sum up experience, and adjust properly in the production process, the disc pack machine can also glue good books.
