Canada, France developed a new functional food packaging film

A Canadian company has developed a Food Packaging film that can detect pathogenic bacteria. It uses protein-based antibodies for the detection of Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Listeria and other pathogens. When exposed to contaminated foods, A discoloration reaction occurs to determine the contamination of pathogens and prevent the deterioration of foods to humans. France introduced two new packaging films processed from ordinary polyvinyl chloride (PVC) materials to the market and used it to identify whether the packaged food uses genetically modified raw materials. The package can identify whether the packaged soybean oil is processed from the genetically modified soybean material, even if it contains only 5% to 10% of the genetically modified soybean food, it can be identified.
