Photoshop color settings

After we understand the above terms, we can now set up the Photoshop color settings. Do not need to open any file, follow the steps below to set it:

1. Click on the menu Edit > Color Settings...

2. The first column is the color settings. If there is no additional setting, there are only 4 to 5 presets. You can select a preset to quickly set the color of the Photoshop workspace. For example, if I select Monitor Color, the RGB color space will be set to sRGB and CMYK will be US WebCoated. .

3. The second column is Working Spaces, where the user selects the ideal color space ([3] ICC). Here, the author demonstrates the popular settings and waits for the next demonstration of other methods. Now the author chose Adobe RGB (1998) in RGB and Coated FOGRA39 (ISO 12647:2004) in CMYK, Gray and Spot are free to choose 15% or 20%. Strictly speaking, these two modes are not in color management, so there is no ICC here.

4. The third column is Color Management Policies color management measures, I usually choose PreservedEmbedded Profiles and check all ProfileMismatches / Missing Profiles. This selection preserves the original color settings of the file and prompts the user when the file does not match the software settings. If you do not click More Options, settings are almost complete.

5. Finally, we can save this color setting, press the Save button on the right side of the dialog box, and then give a suitable name, such as ISO Standard, and then press the save key, then the Color Setting sComment will pop up, you can enter the description. If you choose some special ICC in RGB or/and CMYK, adding a description here will help others understand the purpose of this setup. The color settings are generally scheduled to be stored in the Settings folder of the Adobe program. Users can also select other storage locations.
