Chair types are typically referred to as armchairs or standard chairs, depending on their design and structure. Seat Cushion
1. Seat cushions are commonly available in two main materials: leather and fabric upholstery, based on current design trends and customer preferences.
2. The seat cushion is positioned at the top of the seat frame and serves as the primary contact point for the user. It is primarily attached to the frame using a four-corner connection system. A 8#*1" fast tooth is often used to secure the bottom plate of the cushion to the wooden counterbore.
3. The typical structure of a seat cushion consists of several layers: an outer cover made of leather or fabric, a layer of foam (usually 30–40mm thick, though this can vary based on design requirements), 18mm plywood (which needs to be collapsed internally), and a double-layer woven cloth for added durability and comfort.
4. The cushion’s upper surface is typically covered with leather or fabric, while the foam is fixed using nails. The stitching must be smooth, even, and straight, with no visible bends or irregularities. The leather should be tightly stretched without any sagging or wrinkling.
5. The shape and quality of the foam are crucial for both comfort and aesthetics. It should allow the user to sit comfortably and have enough resilience to return to its original shape after use.

6. The frame is typically constructed from high-quality plywood that can withstand impact testing. To prevent discomfort caused by air pockets, it is common to hollow out the center or add ventilation holes.
7. If the frame design requires hollowing in the middle, additional horizontal and vertical support belts must be included to ensure the foam maintains proper elasticity and prevents sagging over time.
8. The woven fabric on the back of the seat cushion is designed to conceal internal imperfections. The nails used along the edges should be evenly spaced and not visible from the outside.
9. In most cases, the woven fabric on the back of the cushion should not be visible at the edges where it meets the seat frame, unless special design requirements dictate otherwise.
