The reporter learned from the Beijing Landscaping Work Conference yesterday that the forestry cooperation between Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei continued to deepen, the comprehensive management and ecological restoration of Yongding River accelerated, and the construction of Fengtai Tianciyuan Country Forest Park and Mentougou Yongding River Waterfront Forest Park was started. The newly-added afforestation of 50,000 mu, the national key ecological project such as Beijing-Tianjin sand source control and Taihang Mountain greening completed 34,000 mu of artificial afforestation, and the Jingshui ecological water source protection forest increased by 100,000 mu, with a total of 900,000 mu of afforestation.

According to reports, in 2019, in Beijing's core area and central city, Haidian Dongsheng Science and Technology Park Phase II, Fengtai Fengyi Park, Shijingshan Xin'an Park and other 31 urban parks will add urban leisure space to the citizens. Dongcheng North Central axis, Shijingshan Tuen Mun 13 urban forests such as Mouth continue to plant natural forests into cities, allowing citizens to enjoy high-quality greening results.

2018 is the first year of a new round of afforestation and afforestation project in Beijing. By the end of 2018, the city's forest coverage rate had reached 43.5%, the forest coverage rate in the plain area reached 28.5%, the urban green coverage rate reached 48.44%, and the per capita public green area reached 16.3 square meters. In 2018, Beijing completed more than 1,600 hectares of “white and green”, and built 28 urban leisure parks such as Fengtai Jiayu and Shijingshan Hejiafen, and 121 small and green parks and pocket parks. With the completion of 111 kilometers of healthy greenways such as Fangshan South-to-North Water Transfer and Tongzhou Fenggang River, the total length of greenways in the city has reached 821 kilometers, and the service radius coverage of park green space 500 meters has also increased from 77% at the end of 2017 to 80%.
