Test Procedure for Drip Test Device According to GJB150.8A-2008 Standard

1. Place the test specimen in the test chamber under normal operating conditions, and connect all necessary components and fittings. Ensure that both the temperature of the test specimen and the water used are not below 10°C. If needed, adjust the temperature of the specimen or lower the water temperature to achieve the required temperature difference.

2. Operate the test specimen while subjecting it to a uniform rainfall for 15 minutes at a rate of at least 1 m/s. The height is measured from the upper front side of the test specimen or any other specified location. During the test, all upper surfaces of the specimen must be simultaneously exposed to water droplets. For specimens with glass cover gauges, position them at a 45° angle with the scale facing upward.

3. After the 15-minute exposure, remove the test specimen from the chamber and carefully remove enough panels or covers to inspect for internal water penetration.

4. Visually examine the test specimen for signs of water leakage or seepage.

5. Measure any free water present inside the test specimen and document the findings accurately.

6. Perform a functional check of the test specimen according to the technical specifications provided and record the results for further analysis.
