4 Quality Requirements 4.1 The quality requirements of hardcover covers include the specifications of the cover cardboard, middle diameter cardboard, and soft cover materials and their technical specifications.
4.2 The various materials and production requirements for book shell production are stipulated as follows: the thickness of the book block, the open size, and the shape processing
4.2.1 Middle seam size: When the thickness of the board is 1.5-3.0 mm, the mid seam width is 7-10 mm.
4.2.2 Width of the middle diameter: When the book shell is a round back, the middle diameter width is the arc length plus the width of the two middle seams. When the back is squared, two widths are added for the back width of the book. Add two cardboard thicknesses to the back ridge.
4.2.3 The width of the flap is 2-4 mm.
4.2.4 The hemming width is 12-16 mm and the width of the joint is 10-15 mm.
4.2.5 Cover cardboard: The length is equal to the length of the book block plus the width of the two flaps, and the width is 2-4 mm shorter than the width of the book block.
4.2.6 medium diameter cardboard length: equal to the length of the cover cardboard. Medium-diameter cardboard width: when the book shell is square back, it is the same thickness as the book block; when the book shell is a square back artificial ridge, the thickness of two cardboard should be added; when the book shell is round back, it is the same as the arc length.
4.2.7 Interface book waist: The length is equal to the length of the cover cardboard plus the width of the two hemlets. The width is equal to the width of the middle diameter plus the width of the two joining edges.
4.2.8 The surface material of the book case is the same length or width of the book as 3-5 mm and the width of the cardboard is about 7 mm wide.
4.2.9 The surface material of the entire book shell: the length is equal to the width of the median diameter, the width of the two cardboard shells and the width of the two hemlets. The width is equal to the length of the cardboard in the bookcase plus two edging widths.
4.2.10 Book pouches: The length is less than the length of the book block by about 5 mm, and the width is the width or arc length of the back of the book.
4.2.11 The length and width of the bookcase inner paper should be within the envelope of the cover of the bookcase with an error of 3 mm.
4.3 Requirements for Production 4.3.1 The adhesive of the paste case should be used properly, and the glue should be uniform, not blooming or spilled.
4.3.2 The book shell material is placed correctly. The tolerance of the dimensions: 1 mm in length and 2 mm in width.
4.3.3 The surface of the book shell is smooth and free of glue and sticky. The square corners are neat, rounded fillets are small, and the round potential is appropriate and neat. There are no empty sets of sentences, and they are solid and firm.
4.3.4 After the book shell and the book core are put together, the three sides of the flap meet 4.2.3.
4.3.5 There is no obvious warping on the surface after the book cover and the book block are assembled.
5 Test method 5.1 The measurement method uses a millimeter ruler to check the dimensions of the hardcover book case.
