Ink market analysis

The ink industry in China is unevenly distributed all over the world. The difference between east and west industries is very obvious. The major ink companies are mostly concentrated in the eastern coastal areas. With the implementation of China's western development strategy, the overall level of the ink industry in inland provinces is expected to pick up.

East China: The demand for inks has grown significantly in recent years. The increase in offset inks and flexographic inks has tended to be stable, plastic inks have maintained a relatively high growth rate, market competition has become fiercer, product prices have fluctuated, and companies have to increase. Quality, low price and excellent service win the market.

South China: The demand for ink has increased compared with previous years. However, due to the contradiction between supply and demand, prices continue to decline, and competition will be fiercer.

Southwest China: The emerging small and medium-sized ink manufacturers have emerged constantly, with uneven quality standards, and the problem of squeezing the market at low prices has been highlighted. Due to the constraints of price factors, it is difficult for production companies to develop New Products, which will affect the overall quality of the printing industry.

North China: The ink market presents three characteristics - water-based flexible letterpress, UV series ink develops faster; offset ink is dominated by the leading products in the region; solvent ink will gradually withdraw from the market.

Western Region: Due to the relatively backward economic development in the region, the grade requirements for inks are not very high and the market potential is large.

In short, the current price factor still affects most of China's consumption, but the demand for quality and service is also gradually increasing. The region is still an advantage that ink companies can use, but it also shows that the degree of marketization of the domestic ink industry is relatively limited. With the intensification of market competition, ink companies need to constantly improve their own product quality and service, overcome the difficulties of cash flow and other issues.
