The Penfolds Bespoke Crystal Decanter is set to elevate your wine tasting experience to new heights. To mark the release of the highly anticipated 2012 Grange, Penfolds partnered with the esteemed French glassmaker Saint-Louis to craft a custom decanter that would honor the prestige of this iconic wine. Known for their centuries-old tradition of creating exquisite handcrafted crystal pieces, Saint-Louis has outdone themselves with this collaboration.
This collaboration marks the first time Saint-Louis has worked with a non-European brand, highlighting Penfolds' commitment to excellence and innovation. The result is nothing short of spectacular—a stunning decanter that not only enhances the presentation but also improves the sensory experience of the wine itself. As an acknowledgment of the ceremonial aspect of serving Grange, Penfolds introduced a six-liter imperial bottling of the 2012 Grange alongside this remarkable "service vessel": the Penfolds Aevum Imperial Service Ritual.

Designed exclusively for the five 2012 Grange Imperial bottles in existence, the handcrafted crystal decanter perfectly complements the wine's bold and complex profile. This is the first time Saint-Louis, which has been crafting handmade crystal items in France since 1586, has collaborated with a global brand outside of Europe. The decanter is a testament to the meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship that both brands are known for.
Penfolds, renowned for its rich winemaking heritage, places great emphasis on the art of service rituals. The "service vessel" collection aims to celebrate the grandeur of decanting, offering an unforgettable visual experience and a touch of ceremony. The collection also includes a limited-edition smaller version of the Penfolds Aevum Crystal Decanter, designed for the 750ml 2012 Grange. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, featuring the distinctive diamond-cut signature of Saint-Louis.
The Penfolds Collection 2016 is now available worldwide and can be found at select fine wine retailers and Penfolds Cellar Doors. Treasure Wine Estates describes the 2012 Grange, the crown jewel of the collection, as unfolding "layers of allure, plushness, and character," with a style reminiscent of the 1963 Grange but with a modern twist. The Collection is versatile, meant to be enjoyed immediately or cellared for future enjoyment, potentially lasting for the next four decades or more, according to Peter Gago, Penfolds Chief Winemaker.
