Two-step processing method for sticker production

The so-called two-step processing means that printing is performed separately on two devices. This is an on-line processing of self-adhesive labels and is two different production methods.

At present, most label printers are designed for on-line processing, that is, printing and post-processing are completed at one time. The front end of the label printer feeds, and the label product is already coming out.

However, with the increasing number of processes for label production and the increasing complexity of processes, it is almost impossible to complete the entire process with a single on-line process. The reason is very simple. First of all, any device has its own limitations, one device can not have all the features; Second, the more continuous processes, the greater the shutdown waste. On the contrary, using two-step label processing will produce much more flexibility. Of course, the two-step method also has some drawbacks, such as low processing efficiency and slow speed, but for the short-to-medium version of the business, the two-step method is still the best processing method for comprehensive efficiency.

Taking the in-mold label commonly used in cosmetic packaging as an example, the processing equation of this type of label is complicated, and it usually requires printing, bronzing, glazing, die-cutting and the like. For small-volume business, the production of in-mold labels generally uses: rotary press printing - hot stamping machine mechanical bronzing - rotary glazing - die-cutting machine die-cutting, four processes to complete on three devices. This is a typical two-step process.

Nowadays, more and more independent processing equipments are introduced by label manufacturers, and their functions are limited to single functions. They are often multi-functional combinations such as laminating die cutting, hot foil laminating, die-cutting and so on. The equipment forms include: Flat pressure, round pressure and so on. The printing of the label is completed on the printing press, and other processes are performed using secondary processing of the subsequent processing equipment.
