Conditions for enzyme substrates in immunoenzyme technology
In immunoenzyme technology, choosing a good enzyme substrate has a greater effect on displaying the experimental results correctly, quickly, and reliably. As a substrate for enzymes, the following characteristics are required:
(1) Easy to obtain and low price.
(2) Easy to use and relatively stable.
(3) No harm to human health,
(4) The reaction with the corresponding enzyme can produce a color change that can be clearly observed by the naked eye.
(5) The reaction time with the corresponding enzyme should not be too long or too short. In the immunoenzyme-labeled solid carrier method, the reaction time between the substrate and the enzyme used is preferably 30-60min. In immunoenzyme-labeled histochemistry, the reaction of the substrate used with the enzyme is best shown within a few minutes
The reaction conditions (temperature, pH, etc.) with the corresponding enzymes cannot be harsh.
