I. Use and scope of application
This instrument is designed and manufactured according to the requirements of the People's Republic of China standard GB/T3554 "Measurement method for petroleum wax oil content", and is suitable for the determination of petroleum wax with a freezing point above 30 °C and a oil content of not more than 15%. Oil content.
The main points of the method are: dissolving the sample in methyl ethyl ketone, cooling to -32 ° C, separating the wax, filtering and distilling off the butanone in the filtrate, weighing the residual oil, and calculating the oil content of the wax.
Note: Some waxes with a oil content greater than 5% should not be used if the oil is not completely dissolved in methyl ethyl ketone.
