Furniture industry procurement demand project segmentation first 100 million yuan purchase large single

In the first half of 2013, the furniture government procurement market continued to show a favorable trend. According to the incomplete statistics of the "Government Procurement Information", from January to June 2013, the procurement scale of the country, including public bidding, competitive negotiation, inquiry, etc., reached 2.02 billion yuan, compared with 1.13 billion yuan in 2012. Compared with the procurement scale, the growth rate was 44%. In the case of a slowdown in the growth of the civilian furniture market, the government office furniture procurement market has shown strong demand.

The scale of the project has increased by 10 million yuan, nearly 500 million yuan.

The first 100 million yuan project and the increase of 10 million yuan have become the biggest features of furniture purchase in the first half of this year.

In May, the “Guangxi Rural Compulsory Education School Desk and Chair Renewal Project” operated by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Educational Technology and Equipment Center entrusted an agency, with a final purchase amount of RMB 148.34 million. The project is not only the largest project in May and the first half of this year, but also the largest single purchase in recent years.

In the first half of the year, the number of projects with a purchase amount of 10 million yuan reached 18, a total of 10 more than the same period in 2012. The total purchase amount of projects with a price of more than 10 million yuan has reached 480 million yuan, accounting for 23.7% of the total purchase amount. It can be seen from the data that the emergence of large projects of more than 10 million yuan mainly comes from the following three aspects:

Renewal of compulsory education. In the first half of the year, the largest project “Guangxi Rural Compulsory Education School Desk and Chair Renewal Project” and the second largest project “Shandong Weifang City Standardized School Facilities and Equipment Bidding Project”, the latter’s purchase amount also reached 54.49 million yuan.

Expansion of the new campus. “Zhejiang Agriculture and Forestry University student dormitory furniture and desks and chairs, etc.”, the purchase amount is 15.82 million yuan; “Luoyang Normal University New Campus Phase I Second Class Student Apartment Furniture Purchasing Project” purchase amount of 10.92 million yuan; “National Science and Technology University New Campus Laboratory Furniture procurement project, the purchase amount is 10.31 million yuan.

The use of new office buildings has spurred a large purchase of furniture. For example, “Jilin Provincial Library's new office project furniture procurement in different places”, the purchase amount is 23.32 million yuan; the most representative “CCTV new office furniture (third batch, second batch) bidding project”, the purchase amount is 1517 Ten thousand yuan and 15.12 million yuan.

Market segmentation collection projects are in the ascendant

In addition to office and school projects, the scale of the market segment is the medical furniture and collection furniture.

The total amount of medical furniture procurement projects reached 160 million yuan. The medical furniture counted here includes the furniture required in various areas of the hospital, the furniture required by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the furniture required by the relevant medical institutions such as the Health Center.

The total purchase amount of the collection items is 65 million yuan. Includes furniture for museums, archives, heritage and public relations libraries. In addition, there are some projects that are required for the school library. Among the collections of furniture, there are many kinds of furniture in the library and archives, such as reading tables and chairs, display stands, and manual or intelligent shelves.

Since 2012, the collection of furniture for collections has shown an unceasing trend, especially the acceleration of the construction of urban basic cultural facilities has stimulated this demand. In the first half of the year, there were two large collection projects, one was “Jilin Provincial Library's new office project furniture procurement”, the purchase amount reached 23.32 million yuan; the other was “Zhejiang Ningbo Beilun District Library New Hall Furniture Purchase "Project", the purchase amount reached 7.58 million yuan.

Although the government procurement market for furniture is showing a trend of segmentation, office furniture and school projects are still firmly in the main position. From January to June, there were 1034 office furniture projects with a purchase amount of 938 million yuan. Although the number of school furniture projects is less than the number of office furniture projects, the purchase amount of 513 projects has reached 812 million yuan. The total amount of the two is 1.75 billion yuan, accounting for 86% of the total purchases in the first half of the year.

The peak monthly purchase amount exceeds 600 million

In the first half of this year, the first annual procurement peak was ushered in. In May of this year, the national furniture purchase amount reached 660 million yuan, far exceeding the total amount of July and August in 2012.

In January 2013, due to the concentrated release of government procurement demand in the previous year and the increase in furniture purchase projects in winter school, the total purchase of furniture in the month decreased by 200 million yuan from December 2012, and fell back to 250 million yuan. In February, due to the impact of the Spring Festival holiday, the purchase amount of furniture was once again reduced to only 130 million yuan. In March, furniture purchases achieved a recovery growth, but the performance was still not optimistic, with a purchase amount of 140 million yuan.

After entering April, the scale of furniture purchases rebounded rapidly, reaching 270 million yuan, an increase of 1.875 times. In May, it entered the peak of furniture purchase in the first half of the year. The procurement scale exceeded 660 million yuan. In June, the national furniture purchases fell slightly to 550 million yuan, but still higher than the peak of the year 2012 procurement.

On the whole, the scale of national furniture procurement in the first half of the year has exceeded 2 billion yuan, accounting for 57% of the total public procurement volume of the country last year. This also laid the foundation for the continued growth of the furniture government procurement market in the second half of 2013.
