Kangshifu, one of the companies involved, has published on its official website a description of packaging materials for instant noodles in barrels, saying that it has always followed the relevant national standards and explained that the packaging of instant noodle products in barrels is handled in a double hollow manner and the inner layer is used. The China Food Science and Technology Association and the China Beverage Industry Association also issued a statement saying that domestic instant noodle barrels and tea cups have strictly implemented national standards and used plain kraft paper.
