MDRD Restaurant at Amway Grand is a Spanish-inspired gem perched atop Grand Rapids’ iconic historic hotel. Gensler aimed to design an energetic, artful experience that combines the sophistication expected in a bustling metropolis with an inviting, laid-back vibe where locals can unwind and savor great food and even better company.

The restaurant’s fresh design approach caters to a wide range of occasions, from intimate gatherings to large parties. As you enter, the cozy social lounge greets you with its warm ambiance and a perfect view of the sunset, making it ideal for grabbing a quick bite or a cocktail. Further inside, the bar seamlessly connects the lounge with the main dining area. With plush nooks and sleek barstools, it’s the ultimate spot for a romantic evening, while a long banquette offers a more casual setting for family meals. The terrace seating along the new glass facade provides breathtaking views of both the city skyline and the river below, creating a truly memorable dining experience.
