The packaging concept of artistic design work

The production of art can not be separated from the artist's creation. But art as a special science has considerable ambiguity, diversity and variability. Vagueness is because the fundamental achievements of art are in its originality; but if it is not a profound expert on art criticism, who can determine whether an artwork is original and versatile in the colorful and colorful world of art and decoration? Because it needs to serve different groups of people and different needs, its form must also be omnipresent. Variability is due to the fact that art has developed along with the development of society. Today, with the rapid development of society, art is changing with each passing day. It is precisely because of this that the degree of acceptance of art works (including works of art and design) and the determination of artistic values, in addition to their own level, will be influenced by other external factors. This is like a product selling or not, in addition to its own quality and performance, but also by the sales method, promotion, marketing and other factors. 

As modern art, because its forms (including styling and ideas) are often abstract, even when many new works are born, they are often not easily understood and recognized by people. In addition, the use of skilled and precise techniques, like classical art, to portray and shape the works, the era in which their works appeared to amaze people has passed. Today, with the appearance of even more exquisite works, it is impossible to easily impress the audience (because the audience will think that high-tech era, exquisite technology is the usual technology), not to mention those works that are not focused on fine performance techniques. Therefore, new works of art must be recognized by others as soon as possible, and sometimes they have to rely on the help of “packaging” and other means. The so-called "packaging" here is not the packaging of general merchandise, but includes material factors such as decoration, set off, and the environment. The auxiliary means include planning, publicity, and marketing. So far, there are probably the following ways:

1. The decoration and display background of artworks is in itself a kind of display design, such as decorating works in creative or expensive frames, or with special backgrounds and props (such as placing works Natural wood or slate, even with gold and silver thin mounting, and then placed in a special background and environment). The perception of the work at this time must be completely different from that of the unadorned; if the design and use of this decoration are appropriate, the worth of the work may also be greatly enhanced. The more works that are abstracted, the more changes in their perceptions and values ​​will occur after the installation. In addition, the lighting configuration and the environmental style and grade of the work are also the factors that make up the perception of the work (Figure 1). However, if it is used improperly, it will sometimes affect the effect of the work. For example, even if it is a high-level Chinese painting work decorated with a magnificent Western-style picture frame, I am afraid that it can only play an extra role. However, it is not only Chinese painting that can only hold Chinese-style picture frames or mounting scrolls. Because this is only a habitual decoration lacks new ideas. In order to make the work more appreciated, it may be necessary to carry out creative and coordinated designs and designs based on the style of the work; for example, paintings of flowers and birds, wood carvings, stone carvings, or wallpapers will be even more attractive, while the freehand brushwork It is more suitable for the relatively coarse and natural texture of wood and stone lining and so on. But remember that no matter how clever way in art creation, if you use more, it is a lack of creative ways. 

2. Try to get the work into higher-grade environmental or professional exhibitions; such as five-star hotels, well-known venues, art galleries, etc. Of course, these venues are often checked by experts or expert groups. If they all lead through Bogu and have a good eye, it really depends on the level of artistic or artistic design of the work itself. However, you must know that: Assessing the level of artistic works is not the same as the identification of products, as long as you can measure by a fixed index. Experts are also looking for works with good artistic ideas, that is, they should also be new works for them. In this way, the “packaging” of sending works and other factors will often become part of the art level, so even if National museum collections may not always be high-level. In addition, many high-grade venues are not necessarily checked by artistic experts, such as high-level hotels, well-known venues, etc. When some unfamiliar art and art design works are decorated in these places in a magnificent manner, the popularity and value of their works will gradually increase. Of course, the level of these works should not be too bad. One of the reasons why the painting “Drunken Drunk” (Figure 3) can sell for 5 million RMB is because it is decorated in the lobby of the Shanghai APEC event. In addition, it is not uncommon for a certain artist to become a famous painter by painting frescoes in the halls of certain airports and certain famous hotel halls. It is not uncommon for a designer to design a well-known restaurant as a famous designer. . Similarly, their own level is certainly possible. However, the "dominant effect" factor is also obvious. 

3, find some rare items and art "bunch promotion." Such examples mainly occur in works of art and design. For jewellery design using gems and meteorites, indoor and environmental designs use antique accessories, or go to private collections of old woodcarvings, old doors, old furniture, and even fossils and ancient stonework (Figure 2). Strictly speaking, in the art of design, whether these materials or items are precious or unique has no direct relation to the level of design art. However, due to the precious value of these materials and articles, it also increases the value of art and design works, or at least makes others not dare to underestimate their works. Here, it does not devalue the design. However, the true level of artistic design should still be reflected in the idea and shape of the project itself. 

4. The role of media and propaganda. In fact, in ancient and modern times, there are not a few examples of low-level art works that have been blown up by some people (especially celebrities) or the media, and thus have a hundredfold life. In addition, some high-level artistic works may not be buried because they are not promoted by people or the media or exhibitions, or they may only be popular among relatives and friends. 

"Propaganda" factors cannot be ignored in the practice of artistic creation and design. However, if it is only for the limelight to create or design, even if it is successful, it will only be able to obtain temporary scenery at most. 

The true degree of this matter, we are unable to further research. However, on the other hand, it reveals the fact that, apart from the artist's (or designer's) own quality, inspiration, and performance ability, social identification is a more complex factor. 

A television station in the United Kingdom had done a test: a group of reporters took video cameras and related equipment, put the canvas on the road, and then put a bucket of paint of different colors on the side. Then, on the street, he randomly picked up a sweeping sweeper and asked him to paint on the canvas with his paint. This process was faithfully recorded by reporters. Then the "works" of the cleaners were finely decorated and displayed in the exhibition halls of famous art galleries. Then through the media, a series of propaganda such as "The emergence of a new star of painting" was launched. Then a group of unsuspecting art critics were asked to go to the exhibition to let them comment on the work. It is said that the results have also been highly praised. Moreover, there are no commentators who say that these paintings were drawn by people who have not been trained. 

After this incident occurred, it was the reporters who had compiled the news into the radio on the radio. It was said that critics who made comments at the exhibition were very embarrassed. 

However, the emergence of the above events does not affect the existence and development of abstract art. The reason is that many modern abstract arts do not pay much attention to how they are drawn, but only to the discovery of their concepts and the resonance of their viewers. In fact, if there is an artistic achievement in this exhibition, the credit should be attributed to this group of esteemed reporters and critics who find artistic factors. But from another perspective, it also illustrates the importance of "packaging and other factors." 

Of course, as an artist or designer, we cannot rely on these similar commercial means to become famous and successful. What is important is to be a person who exists in society to seriously feel and observe every aspect of society and its changes and development. The law, combined with its own quality, experience and ability to create their own works, this is the real art creation.
