U.S. IP will launch smart packaging

The International Paper Company (IP) will soon add lighting, sound and other special effects to the packaging of some products. The key reason for this is the use of an ultra-thin flexible battery developed by Power Pap er. The new battery can be "printed" on the product's packaging like ink. International Paper and Energy Paper hope that this new disposable battery will allow manufacturers to more effectively attract consumers through product packaging.
A spokesman for International Paper Company stated: "The primary reason for using such a battery in packaging is its marketing advantage - it can make vivid advertising information jump into consumers' eyes many times."
It is said that the new battery-driven packaging will be available later this summer. International Paper Company is testing this new product. However, the company has not yet signed an agreement with any customer. Energy Paper is preparing to produce this new type of battery at its factory in Hong Kong later this year.
