Safer surface coiler

The Braunton Engineering Co., Ltd.'s new surface coiler winds the top quality rolls at the customer's speed, while increasing operational safety. A touch screen interface controls all parameters of the coiler such as tension, speed, setpoint and taper via the PLC. When anyone enters the front area of ​​the new surface coiler, the field sensor stops all dangerous actions such as over-cutting and shifting. Lexan safety guards prohibit anyone from walking into the coiler. The new coiler also makes it easy to change the cutter. A closed box is loaded with a knife-and-arm mechanism. Opening the box cools the blade at the repair location.

The new surface coiler from Brampton offers a roll width of 3400mm and a roll diameter of 1500mm. The coiler can accommodate 75mm or 150mm cores.
