Sweeping process overview

Sweeping gold is a special process in quality printing. Special metal powders are attached to designated parts on commodity packaging or label prints to realize gold glitter effect.
The gold sweeping process needs to be completed with a sweeper. Germany's famous EDMOND DREISSIG company is the only manufacturer in the world to produce gold sweepers. Its gold sweepers are mainly composed of five parts: paper feeder, coating, polishing, cleaning and delivery. Can process from thin paper to cardboard, from open, open to fully open print, at the same time, the speed can reach 7500 / time.
The working process of the sweeper is as follows: Usually a flat-sheet two-color offset press is connected with the sweeper. We used the color separation film of the printed product to create a PS plate for the gold-sweeping machine, and installed it on the offset printing press. By adjusting the rules of the offset printing machine, we can easily complete the registration work. Use a PS plate to print a thin, uniform primer on the part of the print that requires gold. Printed materials with primers are sent to the aspirating rubber conveyor belts in the gold sweeping section through the gold sweeper passer. The coating device consists of a powder filling device, a spreader, a uniform roller, and a coating roller. The applicator roll rotates very slowly. When the side of the applicator roll, on which the gold powder is adsorbed, is turned to the top of the paper, the part turns from inhalation to blowing and the powder is evenly sprayed over the entire surface of the paper. Then, four special polishers were used to wipe off the gold powder on the paper and polish the gold powder printed on the paper with a primer. The sweeper also uses four special sheet metal belts to perform reverse reciprocating motions between each other, and the rear two have powerful suction ducts, plus the following high vacuum adsorption multiple sweeping circulation system. Clean the excess powder on the paper cleanly and quickly, without any leakage of gold powder. Moreover, these gold powders can be recycled without wastage.
When there is no need to sweep gold, the conveyor connecting the offset press and the sweeper can be retracted, so that the offset press can print other products separately. In addition, for manufacturers with multi-color UV offset presses, multi-color printers can also be used. The sweeper is directly online and faster.
