First, the bank: To handle the POS business, you first need to have a payment card for the receipt of the bank card. Of course, the bank has such a license. But because the banks have a lot of business, the POS business is not a big business compared to the bank, and the follow-up is very cumbersome. Therefore, banks have this qualification, but there are only a handful of POS businesses that have their own push, and only a few POSs such as China Merchants Bank, Agriculture, and Postal Store have promoted their own POS. The POS business of other banks is outsourced to third-party payment companies, including their own POS business. Only a good customer, the bank will install its own POS. So when you go to the bank to ask about the POS business, the basic contact is basically the payment company.
Second, third-party payment companies: Third-party payment refers to an independent organization with strength and credit guarantee, and the way of signing with each bank, through the interface with the bank payment settlement system, and facilitates the online payment mode of the transaction between the two parties. For example, the money for credit card is like express delivery, the third-party payment company is like a transportation vehicle, the UnionPay is like a road, and the collection account is like a receiving unit.
Most people may know that UnionPay also has a POS machine, but this UnionPay is not a member of UnionPay. The real UnionPay is China UnionPay, which is the card organization of China. UnionPay, which operates POS machines, is UnionPay Business Co., Ltd., which is a national company engaged in the professionalization of bank card receipts by China UnionPay. In essence, UnionPay is also a third-party payment company.
Which one is best for the POS? Then look at your situation, if you are a chain company, a large company (such as trading volume of more than a million). Then go to the bank or UnionPay business, the bank will help you to handle your own POS according to your actual situation or take the lead to help you find a payment company to handle more preferential POS. When you have a big deposit, you can enjoy the bank's meticulous service. If you are just a normal customer, it is recommended to find a third-party payment company directly. As long as it is a formal licensed payment company, security is the same as that of a bank. Where is the difference? The efficiency of the payment company and the speed of after-sales service will be much faster than the bank. For example, if you are looking for a bank machine, it may take half a month or a month. Looking for a payment company, the fastest one or two days. In terms of after-sales, because the bank has almost no professional POS department. Therefore, when encountering after-sales problems, bank personnel sometimes have no way to deal with them in time. The payment company is mainly engaged in POS business, and the relevant departments are all available, and the efficiency and professionalism will be higher.
Therefore, if a normal business or individual wants to do a POS, there is no need to go to the bank. The bank will either help you slowly, or push the outsourced payment company to contact you.
