In 2012, Xiamen City initiated the establishment of Tong'an as the main body to cover Xiamen's export fitness equipment quality and safety demonstration zone in Xiamen's other administrative regions. In 2014, Tongan District also set up a physical display platform with an area of ​​480 square meters in the Tongan Industrial Concentration Zone to realize the display of fitness equipment online and offline.
According to reports, as of now, there are more than 90 companies in the fitness equipment industry in Xiamen, including 60 export production companies, 10 production value billions, one listed company, and five high-tech enterprises. The products are exported to more than 120 countries including Japan, the United States, and South Korea. In countries and regions, exports account for about a quarter of the country's equivalent products, and have become the most important gathering area for China's fitness equipment industry.
